Which touchdown celebration was best through Week 7?

Once again, The Hippo celebration is your favourite touchdown celebration.

78 per cent of you voted for Winnipeg and their Hippo celly over Kamar Jorden’s party in the end zone.

This week, Duke Williams (and the rest of the Esks’ receiving corps) goes head-to-head with the Bombers.

First, let’s get a quick reminder of The Hippo.

At the start of the second quarter against the BC Lions, the Bombers were on the BC four yard line. Andrew Harris took the direct snap on first down and rumbled into the end zone where he began the celebration and his teammates joined in.

My buddy and colleague, Don Landry, tweeted at the Bombers asking what we were all thinking:

And the Bombers responded with this:

And so this celly was dubbed, The Hippo. Incredible.

Now for Winnipeg’s competition – Duke Williams’ meditation.

There was one minute left in the first half and the Esks were at their own 49-yard line. Mike Reilly aired it out to Williams who made two defenders miss and ran in for the 61-yard score.

And once he got to the end zone, the Edmonton pass-catcher sat down and mediated alone before being joined by few of his teammates. So. Good.
