Which touchdown celebration was best through Week 8?

For the third week in a row, The Hippo is the king of the castle.

You voted and 86 per cent of you voted that you liked the Winnipeg Blue Bombers hippo celebration more than Duke Williams’ meditation.

Who will knock The Hippo off the top? Well, if you ask Stampeder Kamar Jorden, he’s hoping he did enough with his Fortnite dance in the end zone to do just that.

Every week, just two celebrations go head-to-head but this week, I couldn’t choose just one to go up against The Hippo.

Along with Jorden’s Fortnite dance, Ottawa REDBLACK Diontae Spencer’s In My Feelings Challenge will go against Winnipeg this week. A head-to-head-to-head, perhaps?

Before we get into Diontae and Kamar’s celebrations, let’s get a quick reminder of The Hippo.

At the start of the second quarter against the BC Lions, the Bombers were on the BC four yard line. Andrew Harris took the direct snap on first down and rumbled into the end zone where he began the celebration and his teammates joined in. And so, The Hippo was born.

Now for Jorden.

It was second-and-10 mid way through the first quarter and the Stamps were trailing 3-0. Bo Levi Mitchell aired it out to Kamar Jorden who found the end zone for the first touchdown of the ball game.

Then the magic happened because Fortnite is life, right Kamar? Incredible.

And now for our third challenger, Diontae Spencer.

We’ve seen almost everyone do the In My Feelings Challenge – including the TSN panel themselves – but how about doing it during a football game? Spencer. Did. That.

With under five minutes left in the third quarter, Spencer returned a punt 87 yards to the house. And right on cue, he asked Keke if she loved him. So good.
