Riders acquire former 4th overall pick Brian Jones

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired national receiver Brian Jones from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2019 CFL Draft.

The deal was announced by both teams on Monday morning.

Jones, 24, is in his third CFL season with Toronto after being drafted by the team fourth overall in the 2016 CFL Draft out of Acadia. In 24 games in Double Blue, Jones caught 24 passes for 128 yards and one touchdown.

The Nova Scotia native also chipped in on special teams recording nine tackles and one blocked punt in his career.
