Bear is Back: Veteran LB Woods makes return for Argos Friday vs. Als

TORONTO — Bear Woods is set to make his 2018 debut this week against the Montreal Alouettes.

Woods is listed as the starting middle linebacker for the Argos on the team’s depth chart that was released on Thursday.

Justin Tuggle, moved from defensive end to middle linebacker in Woods’ absence through 10 weeks, has been placed on the one-game injured list.

The 31-year-old is in his second season with the Argonauts after starting his career with the Montreal Alouettes. Woods finished with 90 tackles and two sacks in 17 games for the Double Blue last season. He’s amassed 322 defensive tackles and 14 sacks in his five-year CFL career.

Toronto heads to Montreal on Friday to take on the Alouettes as they search for their third win in a row. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m ET.
