WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released international quarterback Alex Ross, the team announced on Friday.

The 25-year-old pivot suited up in both of the Bombers pre-season games this year. He played in the first game against the Edmonton Eskimos, completing one of eight passes for eight yards. The six-foot, 199-pounder also saw action against the BC Lions and completed 10 of 13 passes for 78 yards.

Before joining the Bombers this off-season, Ross spent time with the BC Lions. He completed five of 12 passing attempts for 82 yards and two interceptions in his time in BC.
