Travis Lulay to start against Alouettes

The Canadian Press

VANCOUVER — Travis Lulay will start at quarterback for the BC Lions as they head to Montreal to take on the Alouettes on Friday.

The Lions pivot left Week 13’s contest against the Ottawa REDBLACKS in the second quarter and did not return. The team announced during the game that Lulay was placed in concussion protocol.

Before his exit, Lulay had completed nine of 15 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. In seven games this season, the 34-year-old has thrown 1,804 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions.

Recently-acquired receiver DeVier Posey will also make his Lions debut this weekend. The 2017 Grey Cup MVP signed with the Lions earlier this week. Posey played 12 regular games with the Argonauts last season, amassing 744 yards and seven touchdowns.

BC looks to keep pace in the West with a win over the streaking Alouettes as Week 14 action kicks off at Percival Molson Stadium.
