Winnipeg 31, Montreal 14

Jermarcus ‘Yoshi’ Hardrick is known as a gentle giant and absolute fan favourite in Winnipeg.

Running back Andrew Harris, who left Friday’s game due to injury, went up into the stands — the new tradition at IGF, call it the ‘Peg Jump — and hinted at a crowd surfing celebration after his next touchdown on home turf.

Ottawa 28, Edmonton 15

REDBLACKS kicker Lewis Ward has now made 37-straight field goals, two short of the league’s all-time record, and is proving to be a popular figure on social media.

The REDBLACKS then dedicated the win to those affected by the massive storm which hit the national capital region on Friday.

Saskatchewan 30, Toronto 29

The main story in Toronto on Saturday evening was Riders kicker Brett Lauther, who drilled a 56-yard field goal late in the game — in stark contrast to Argos kicker Zack Medeiros, who missed two critical fourth-quarter kicks.

Lauther’s reaction said it all at the end of the ballgame. The Riders are now alone in second place in the West Division, and control their own destiny in terms of earning a home playoff game.

BC 35, Hamilton 32 (OT)

There are no words for the ridiculous Lions comeback that happened Saturday night at BC Place.

In case you didn’t know: All big-time sports moments deserve the Titanic soundtrack to be laid over them.

The wild finish brought

Saskatchewan premier Brad Wall weighed in.

Canadian actor Kim Coates was there from start to finish, and loved every minute of ‘Super Saturday’.
