Busta Rhymes to headline halftime show on Oct 13 in Edmonton

EDMONTON — Hip-hop superstar Busta Rhymes will bring his signature flow to halftime at the The Brick Field on October 13, the Edmonton Eskimos announced on Thursday.

Busta is widely regarded as one of the greatest MCs of all time with hits like “Turn It Up/Fire it Up”, “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check”, “Ante Up” and “Gimme Some More”. Busta has had 4 albums hit number 1 on the Billboard Top 40, and numerous singles in the charts since 1996 when he had his first hit solo album “The Coming”.

Busta Rhymes has recently released “Get It”, featuring Missy Elliot and Kelly Rowland, and has collaborated with the biggest names in hip hop including Kendrick Lamar, The Notorious B.I.G., Fugees, Talib Kwali and A Tribe Called Quest.

Busta will tear up halftime on Football Tackles Cancer night on October 13 at 5 p.m. ET when the Esks take on the REDBLACKS. This game supports the Cross Cancer Institute’s 50th anniversary and their ‘Show the Love’ campaign. We’ll be bringing the noise and selling Esks mini-cowbells for a minimum suggested donation of $5, all proceeds donated in support of the Cross Cancer Institute.
