Week 18 saw a trio of West Division teams score important victories — one of them a significant upset in Calgary against the first-place Stamps — and things tighten up in their division.
In the East, Hamilton scored a decisive victory in Toronto over the Argonauts, sweeping the season series 3-0 in the process and pulling into a deadlock with Ottawa for first in the East.
Let’s revisit how the week played out on social.
Hamilton @ Toronto
The Tabbies put up a strong performance on both sides of the ball in a 34-20 win, successfully ‘invading the 6ix’ as their pre-game hashtag promised.
While Hamilton’s play shone on the field, it was Brandon Banks‘s son who stole the show following his dad’s touchdown.

That’s making our ‘All-Adorable Plays’ list at the end of the year, if that becomes a thing.
Don’t look now, but the Ticats are trending up at the right time.

Saskatchewan @ Winnipeg
The Bombers hammered Saskatchewan, avoiding the season sweep at the hands of their arch rivals and instilling a bit more confidence in their fan base.
TSN Hamilton’s Marshall Ferguson was also in fine form, providing just the right .gif to describe Brandon Bridge‘s surprise return under centre for the Riders’ struggling offence in the third quarter.

Earlier in the game, Ferguson delivered what may have been his single greatest piece of content of the 2018 season: Matt Nichols doing the Conor McGregor strut.
MATT NICHOLS JUST DID THE CONOR MCGREGOR STRUT.

Glorious.
Ottawa @ Edmonton
Bryant Mitchell hauled in a ridiculous 190 receiving yards, and Mike Reilly snapped out of his funk to lead the Esks to a much-needed win on home turf.
The third-year pro had a career day, then did his post-game interview flanked by ‘security’ — teammates Vidal Hazelton and Duke Williams — in a hilarious scene.

Edmonton also raised funds for the Cross Cancer Institute.

The Esks also brought out legendary rapper Busta Rhymes for their halftime performance.
Continuing to add to my list of people I’ve introduced. @BustaRhymes just hit the stage @EdmontonEsks game. Now we need a huge 2nd half and a win! pic.twitter.com/gxiv6ZnDwM

BC @ Calgary
The Leos stunned the Stamps on Saturday night in Cowtown, improving their playoff chances greatly and proving that — with Mark Washington’s defence on its game and Travis Lulay back under centre — they can beat anybody.
Calgary honoured legendary Lions head coach Wally Buono prior to the contest.

New Lions running back Tyrell Sutton went off for over 100 rush yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win, and posted an Instagram photo afterwards.
