HAMILTON — In the third quarter of the Ottawa REDBLACKS’ Week 20 tilt against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Brad Sinopoli passed a fellow Canadian in the record books when he hauled in his 113th reception of the season, giving him the CFL record for most receptions by a Canadian in a single season.
Ben Cahoon previously held the record with 112 catches, which he set as a member of the Montreal Alouettes during the 2003 season.
At the time of clinching the record, Sinopoli had racked up 113 receptions and 1,364 yards for the REDBLACKS this season, as he sits as Ottawa’s leading receiver so far this season.
