CFL.ca’s Davis Sanchez caught up with Ottawa REDBLACKS defender Antoine Pruneau in a Facebook Live sit-down on Friday ahead of Sunday’s Eastern Final at TD Place.
“I’d say it’s a good mix of veteran players and young players that are willing to learn the game,” said Pruneau, who is expected to return to the lineup for the first time since suffering an injury in Week 15, of his defence. “(Anthony) Cioffi just got on with us this year (and) did a tremendous job. He’s always in the coach’s office trying to understand the system (and) get every little bit of information he could to become a good player.”
While Sanchez asked Pruneau for a tape breakdown, the REDBLACKS defender understandably played his cards close to his vest.
“I don’t want to tell our secrets,” laughed the 29 year-old. “What we did today was running through our calls, watching the previous calls of our game against Hamilton. Making sure everybody’s on the same page, (it was) a chance for everybody to say their opinions. A players meeting.”
