REDBLACKS bring back full staff for 2019 season

OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS announced on Friday that the club’s full coaching staff and full-time football operations staff from this past season will return for the 2019 CFL campaign.

After winning the CFL’s East Division to earn a spot in the 106th Grey Cup game, General Manager Marcel Desjardins and Head Coach Rick Campbell will return to work in 2019 with a full slate of familiar faces on the field and in the front office.

“One of the foundations of a successful organization is continuity and the REDBLACKS are excited to announce the return of the entire coaching staff and the entire full-time football operations staff,” said General Manager Marcel Desjardins. “The ability to deliver this continuity in today’s CFL is a rarity and is reflection of the shared commitment that exits within our franchise.”

They include:

  • Jaime Elizondo, Offensive Coordinator
  • Noel Thorpe, Defensive Coordinator
  • Bob Dyce, Special Teams Coordinator
  • Mark Nelson, Linebackers Coach
  • Winston October, Receivers Coach
  • Leroy Blugh, Defensive Line Coach
  • John McDonell, Offensive Line Coach
  • Beau Walker, Running Backs Coach
  • Patrick Bourgon, Defensive Assistant Coach

In the front office, returning in 2019 under General Manager Marcel Desjardins are:
