Jake Ceresna released from Esks for NFL opportunity

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos have released international defensive lineman Jake Ceresna to pursue an opportunity with the NFL’s New York Giants, the team announced on Wednesday.

In his first season with the Eskimos, the 24-year-old suited up in 18 games and collected 32 tackles and eight sacks.

Before joining the green and gold, Ceresna spent the 2017 season with the Ottawa REDBLACKS where he amassed 18 tackles and two sacks in 14 games.
