Roughiders release receiver Kenny Shaw

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released international receiver Kenny Shaw, the team announced on Wednesday.

Shaw was added to the Riders practice roster in August of 2018 and made his debut in Week 16. The 26-year-old played in three games with Saskatchewan, hauling in 11 passes for 153 yards.

The six-foot, 170-pound pass-catcher suited up in just three games for Ottawa in 2017, recording six catches and 66 yards before his eventual release in April of 2018. Prior to signing with the REDBLACKS as a free agent, Shaw spent two seasons (2015-2016) with the Toronto Argonauts. His best season in the double blue was in 2016 where he caught 77 passes for 1,004 yards and five touchdowns.
