The second-ranked prospect according to the most recent CFL Scouting Bureau rankings, Richards performed in front of scouts at the Oklahoma State pro day earlier in March and was slated to take part in the CFL’s national showcase this weekend.
The 6-foot-6, 334-pound lineman is considered one of the top prospects for the 2019 CFL Draft on May 3, and was chosen to go first overall in the first mock draft by CFL.ca’s Marshall Ferguson this week.
Boateng posted a 4.38-second 40-yard dash, along with a 4.18-second shuttle and a 6.78-second three-cone in his Pro Day last week. He broad jumped 10 feet and posted a 38-inch vertical leap and managed 14 reps in the bench press.
The combine officially began on Friday in Toronto, while testing started Saturday morning with the vertical jump. Testing, individual drills and one-on-ones will continue into Sunday afternoon, with CFL.ca carrying live coverage throughout the events.
