Jaime Elizondo leaves REDBLACKS to pursue other opportunities

OTTAWA — Jaime Elizondo has stepped down as the Ottawa REDBLACKS offensive coordinator to pursue other opportunities, the team announced on Monday.

The REDBLACKS also announced that the team was informed of Elizondo’s decision on Friday.

Elizondo spend the last three seasons with the REDBLACKS as the team’s offensive coordinator. In 2016, his first season with the team as offensive play caller, he led the REDBLACKS to winning a Grey Cup.

Before joining the REDBLACKS, Elizondo spent time with the Toronto Argonauts as a receivers and quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. He spent the 2008 season with the Montreal Alouettes as a receivers coach and special teams assistant.
