ARIZONA — One of the CFL’s top breakout stars in 2018 is back on the market, as the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals have released former Eskimos receiver Bryant Mitchell.
Mitchell waded into NFL waters this off-season on the heels of a breakout campaign with the Eskimos last season, when he caught 60 passes for 867 yards despite playing just 11 games.
The 26-year-old joined the Eskimos in 2016 and has since emerged as one of the league’s top young receiving threats, totaling 1,418 yards and six touchdowns over 19 career games.
While the San Diego native could continue pursuing options south of the border, Mitchell would be a welcome addition in any CFL training camp this month.
