VANCOUVER — Recently retired quarterback Travis Lulay has joined the BC Lions corporate partnerships team, the club announced on Thursday.

“Everyone knows the passion and dedication that Travis brought to our organization for 10 years as a player and we’re very pleased to have him with us in his new capacity,” said team president Rick LeLacheur.

The former CFL Most Outstanding Player and 2011 Grey Cup champion is equally excited about the opportunity to move upstairs at the club’s headquarters.

“I’m fired-up about the opportunity to continue to represent the BC Lions, this time on the other side of football,” said Lulay. “I’m thankful to Rick LeLacheur and George Chayka for the opportunity to remain with the orange and black in this new role and I look forward to maintaining existing relationships and developing new ones with partners. With the season just around the corner, I’m happy I get to keep saying ‘Go Lions!’”
