EDMONTON — As the Edmonton Eskimos enter their final week of training camp, the club has began to tinker with its roster, making a number of roster moves.

Monday morning, the team cut ties with offensive lineman Qadr Spooner, defensive back Mikael Charland and veteran fullback Alex Dupuis.

Spooner was drafted in the second round (15th overall) by Winnipeg in the 2017 CFL Draft. He appeared in one game this past season for the Blue Bombers and signed as a free agent with Edmonton in February.

The Esks also added international quarterback Troy Williams to their roster, a day after letting go veteran backup Danny O’Brien.

The Eskimos lost 20-3 to the Bombers on Friday in their final pre-season tune-up.  The team will need to trim its roster to 46 by 10:00pm ET on Saturday.
