CFL announces star-studded Family Day game day theme

TORONTO — The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced the return of Family Day in conjunction with Family Channel in each CFL market this upcoming season.

The Family Day theme is designed with families in mind, creating new and exciting experiences for kids, young adults and their parents. In a new twist this season, select markets will feature an exciting activation from Family Channel’s hit series American Ninja Warrior Junior. Kids and adults can race through the epic 80-foot-long inflatable obstacle course that will test their hanging, running, climbing and sliding skills. At pregame tailgates, competitors will be given a special contest code which can be entered through Family.ca for the chance to win an incredible VIP family trip for four to the Grey Cup!

“The CFL is proud to be once again partnering with the Family Channel and expanding their involvement when it comes to our Family Day game day initiative,” said Vanessa Morbi, CFL Vice President of Digital and Media. “We look forward to seeing our next generation of fans in CFL stadiums and cheering on their teams in a family friendly environment.”

For each game, CFL teams have special ticket offers for children and families, click here.

“We are thrilled to be working with the CFL for another amazing season of Family Day games and are looking forward to connecting with fans in their local communities,” said Katie Gillespie, Marketing Director, DHX Television. “This year, we are elevating the Family Day experience with the addition of the American Ninja Warrior Junior inflatable obstacle course which will be a can’t-miss attraction for both parents and kids at the tailgate parties.”

Each market will host a Family Day game with popular TV characters from Iron Man, Spider-Man and PAW Patrol. In many of our markets Family Day will feature well known Family Channel talent from The Next Step, Backstage and a special activation from Family Channel’s hit series America Ninja Warrior Junior.

Many of the Family Day games are in the afternoon and are accompanied by affordably-priced ticket packages to allow the whole family to enjoy the game and entertainment in the stadium. Below is the schedule for the 2019 season.
