Sights, Sounds and Social: Week 2

Week 2 in the Canadian Football League featured incredible moments, great fans and plenty of the standard banter on social media.

Here’s how the weekend’s trio of games went down.

Saskatchewan at Ottawa

The real winner of Week 2’s Thursday Night Football contest was Shoe Beer Guy.

TNF halftime act Monster Truck rocked the house at TD Place.

Nothing hits quite like behind-the-scenes social coverage from the locker room.

BC at Edmonton

Quite simply, the Esks dominated the second half and their social team wasn’t afraid to show it.

Former Esks Duke Williams — now of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills — weighed in on Twitter following Edmonton’s decisive divisional win.

Hamilton at Toronto

The Argos celebrated legendary QB Ricky Ray prior to the game, and fellow newly-retired QB Travis Lulay weighed in on his outfit:

Ticats rookie Nikola Kalinic scored his first career TD, then celebrated postgame with family and friends — all decked out in No. 84 jerseys.

Ticats fan Andrew Nielsen holds a special place in the hearts of the team’s coaches and players.

Lastly, shoutout to all involved in shifting Saturday’s start time to accommodate The Arkells — all parties involved benefited.

Lastly, a miscellaneous but nonetheless hilarious tweet from Saturday on the recently-retired Kevin Glenn.
