Canada D’Eh: Riders all set for opener

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are all set to open the home portion of their 2019 schedule on Canada Day, when they will welcome the Toronto Argonauts to Mosaic Stadium.

The Riders are pulling out all the stops with the largest Canadian flag in existence (in sports), a halftime music act and 30,000 rally towels.

Beyond the extra-curriculars, there is plenty of excitement around the Riders from a football standpoint, too: QB Cody Fajardo exploded onto the scene with a 360-yard performance in Ottawa last week, and optimism seems to be running high in Riderville.

Fans can be optimistic for the non-football stuff, too, as the game’s 50/50 prize is guaranteed to start at $100,000.

Fans can purchase tickets to Monday’s holiday home opener here.
