Bombers sign national DB Dondre Wright to practice roster

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added National defensive back Dondre Wright to the practice roster, the team announced on Monday.

The five-foot-10, 210-pounder played in nine games with the Alouettes last season and collected two special teams tackles. In his rookie season in 2017, Wright suited up in all 18 games and tallied 45 defensive tackles, 12 special teams tackles and one forced fumble.

Wright was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the third round (20th overall) in 2017.

Before getting drafted, he spent two seasons at Henderson State, an NCAA Division II school in Arkansas, where in 11 games produced 65 tackles. That performance was enough to get him an invite to the 2017 NFL regional combine.
