REDBLACKS sign linebacker Jeff Knox Jr.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS have inked American linebacker Jeff Knox. Jr, the team announced on Monday.

The 27-year-old played in seven games with the Toronto Argonauts in 2018, collecting 31 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles and one sack.

Before joining the Argos, Knox Jr. spent three seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2015-2017). His best season was his rookie year, where the six-foot-two, 225-pounder tallied 112 defensive tackles, 10 special teams tackles and an interception.

In 50 career CFL games, Knox Jr. has amassed 231 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles and a sack.

The team also announced the signing of American linebacker Jerod Fernandez and the release of American wide receiver Ryan Lankford, American defensive lineman Blaine Woodson, and American defensive back Ranthony Texada.
