Sights, Sounds and Social: Week 5

Before we dive into the game-by-game breakdown, this was the most important thing on CFL social this weekend:

It was all about the Esks on Thursday Night Football this week, as Jason Maas’ team sprinted to a 33-6 win at BC Place over the Lions.

Come for the pic of an offensive lineman elevating, and stay for his teammates roasting him in the Instagram comments.

Tim Hicks brought down the house as part of the #TNF Concert Series.

Everything followed the script in Winnipeg on Friday night, as the undefeated Bombers raced to a 14-0 lead and never looked back against the winless Argos.

Bombers running back Andrew Harris broke the 8,000-yard career rushing mark on Friday.

It was nice to see Stamps QB Nick Arbuckle show some love for friend Winston Rose following the latter’s pick against Toronto.

Saturday’s doubleheader gave us some electric moments: From Vernon Adams Jr. juking defenders out of their socks to Brandon Banks doing Brandon Banks things, it was fantastic viewing.

Not only did the Als travel well on the field, but their fans travelled well off it as well.

Some Oklahoma alum met up postgame for a quick pic.

The Ticats stormed back to beat the Stamps in the Week 5 finale, and moved two wins clear atop the East in the process.
