Sights, Sounds & Social: Week 9

Let’s take a look back at the best in social media from Week 9 of the CFL season!

Thursday | Calgary at Winnipeg

Janarion Grant: Very explosive return man.

Friday | Saskatchewan at Montreal

First-year Als receiver Quan Bray is quickly adapting to life in MTL.

The Riders scored a key road win in MTL following the weather-shortened game.

The day after the win, Jim Hopson went into the CFHOF.

Friday | Ottawa at Edmonton

Former Esk Joe Anoai — better-known as WWE superstar Roman Reigns — was in the house at Commonwealth for Friday Night Football.

Things got heated between the Esks and REDBLACKS in a smashmouth 16-12 contest, and players didn’t hold back post-game.

Don Unamba returned to the Esks’ lineup and as usual had a post-game shoutout for the fans.

Nice guy of the week award: Third-string Ottawa QB Will Arndt, who stuck around after the loss to play catch with young Edmonton fans.

Saturday | BC at Hamilton

Things got funky at the Donut Box on Saturday evening.

The Hall of Fame Game lived up to its billing, and the members of the CFHOF’s Class of 2019 were honoured at Tim Hortons Field.

An incredible comeback against all odds for the Ticats, who blew the imaginary roof off Tim Hortons Field with a go-ahead Brandon Banks TD late.

The Ticats’ social channels got creative following the win in the Battle of the Cats.
