REDBLACKS add Stefan Logan to PR; release Thomas

OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS have signed American returner Stefan Logan to the team’s practice roster, it was announced on Tuesday.

Before Logan’s release in July from the Montreal Alouettes, he played in four games in 2019, collecting 118 punt return yards, 222 kickoff returns, and 34 missed field goal returns.

The 38-year-old Miami, FL native has played eight seasons in the CFL, including the last five with Montreal. He leads the team’s record book with 3,881 yards on kickoff returns and 3,457 punt return yards.

The REDBLACKS also announced that they have released American receiver Noel Thomas. In four games this season in the nation’s capital, Thomas hauled in 15 passes for 123 yards. In his rookie season (2018), the six-foot-one, 205-pounder suited up in five games and caught 12 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown.
