Sights, Sounds & Social: Week 11

Let’s revisit the best in social media from Week 11 in the CFL.

Friday | Winnipeg at Edmonton

The Esks scored the opening punch before kickoff, with a tongue-in-cheek chirp for the Bombers related to last week’s NFL pre-season game at IG Field.

Once the game began, however, the Bombers took control and by the end of the night secured the W.

Winnipeg fired back following the win, which lifted it two games clear of the pack atop the West Division.

Saturday | Ottawa at Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan Roughriders might just be for real.

Craig Dickenson’s squad raced to a 20-0 lead on the REDBLACKS, then put it in cruise the rest of the night.

The Riders honoured Kerry Joseph and Neal Hughes during Saturday’s game, with a typically warm reception for the Saskatchewan faithful.

Saturday | Hamilton at BC

Canadian fullback Mark Mackie took flight on Saturday night at BC Place.

The Ticats did enough to pull out the road W (despite a late scare from the Lions), and their social team came up with another fantastic graphic following the win.

Sunday | Montreal at Toronto

Fans of every CFL team made the trek to Moncton for Sunday’s Touchdown Atlantic game.

One thing to know about Vernon Adams Jr.: He loves his teammates.

Former Alouette Tanner Marsh couldn’t help but chime in following Montreal’s ridiculous double-reverse touchdown.

Calgary fan Eric McKee’s tweet summarized the weekend.
