Five players fined after Week 12; additional fines announced from Week 11

TORONTO — The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced five fines after Week 12 action.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive lineman Willie Jefferson was fined for a high hit on Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Cody Fajardo.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats fullback Nikola Kalinic was fined for a tourist hit on Toronto Argonauts defensive back Alden Darby.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Tunde Adeleke was handed a maximum fine after pushing an official following play #21 against the Toronto Argonauts on Monday.

Toronto Argonauts linebacker Micah Awe was fined for leading with the crown of his helmet in making contact with the head of Hamilton Tiger-Cats running back Anthony Coombs.

Toronto Argonauts wide receiver S.J. Green was fined for using his hands to deliver a blow to the head of Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive lineman David Dean.

The CFL also announced additional fines from Week 11:

Saskatchewan Roughriders linebacker Cameron Judge was fined for a tourist hit on Ottawa REDBLACKS offensive lineman Alex Mateas.

BC Lions defensive lineman Shawn Lemon was fined for a high hit on Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Dane Evans.

As per league policy, the amounts of the player fines were not disclosed.
