CFL fan’s guide to Saturday’s tripleheader

The first tripleheader of the 2019 season is on the horizon and I don’t know about you but I couldn’t be more excited.

An entire day of football? SIGN. ME. UP.

Things get started in the nation’s capital as the Toronto Argonauts visit the Ottawa REDBLACKS. Can Jonathon Jennings lead the REDBLACKS to a win or will the Argonauts nab their second victory of the season?

Then we head to Winnipeg for the annual Banjo Bowl between the Roughriders and Blue Bombers. It was an exciting walk-off win for the Riders during Mark’s Labour Day Weekend but can they make it two in a row?

And finally, Week 13 finishes up with the Battle of Alberta between the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Eskimos. Bo Levi looked great in his return to the field, can he do it again this week?

Now I know what you’re thinking – how am I going to survive almost 10 hours of football? Don’t worry, I’m here to help.

What’s football without food?

It’s important football etiquette to have your favourite snacks to munch on while you’re cheering on your team. But how about taking it to the next level?

While some are saying this is the #YearoftheReturn in the CFL, I think this is the #YearoftheEpicFood. We’ve been treated to incredible stadium eats this season, from the two-pound ice cream sandwich or a two-foot long hotdog in Ottawa to the Walby Burger in Winnipeg or the Outrageous Burger in BC.

Touchdown: 15 jumping jacks
Sack: 10 squats
Interception: 10 lunges
