WINNIPEG — Lucky Whitehead will not be making his debut in the Banjo Bowl when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders face off on Saturday.

The receiver has been moved to the one-game injured list and will miss Saturday’s game.

Whitehead is in his first CFL season. He opened his stint in Winnipeg with a bang, hauling in all seven balls thrown his way while going off for 155 yards and two touchdowns against the Edmonton Eskimos in Week 3.

The 27-year-old has posted 37 receptions for 394 yards and a pair of scores along with 67 rushing yards on eight carries this season.

With Whitehead out of the lineup, Rasheed Bailey slides in has his replacement. The 26-year-old has appeared in one game this season — in Week 8 against Toronto — but he didn’t record any statistics.

The Bombers and Riders will meet for the second time in as many weeks on Saturday at IG Field. Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m. ET.
