OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS will have a new face under centre in Week 18.

The team announced on Monday that Will Arndt will be the man in charge when they take on the Toronto Argonauts on Friday.

Arndt, 26, has featured in four games this season for the REDBLACKS, completing 55 percent of his passes for 185 yards while throwing two interceptions.

He signed with the team at the tail end of the 2017 season. After being re-signed in 2018, Arndt served as one of the team’s backups behind starter Trevor Harris. Following Harris’ departure and the arrival of Jonathon Jennings, Arndt became the third-string option for Ottawa this year.

The REDBLACKS have bounced between Jennings and Dominique Davis this season. Jennings has thrown for 1,154 yards and three touchdowns in eight games while Davis had 2,061 yards and five touchdowns in nine outings.

The REDBLACKS also announced that Davis is inured and will not dress for the Week 18 clash.

Ottawa will head West to BMO Field for a showdown with the Argos to open Week 18 action. The second meeting between the two teams will kick-off at 7:00 p.m. ET.
