TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts will be going back to McBeth when they take on the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson will be the man under centre on Friday. The 31-year-old has been the backup over the Argos’ last two games, with the team giving James Franklin another shot at running the offence.

Bethel-Thompson has thrown for 3,184 yards and 20 touchdowns while completing 66 percent of his passes across 13 games.

The pivot became the Argos’ starter after Franklin suffered an injury in Week 3. He currently sits tied for first in the league with Mike Reilly for touchdown passes and is also fourth in passing yards.

He will be backed up by Franklin, who has 822 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score and 79 yards on the ground in six contests.

The Argonauts will welcome the REDBLACKS to BMO Field for the first time this season to open Week 18 action. The two teams kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET.
