TORONTO — James Wilder Jr. and running backs around the CFL are running for a good cause in the month of October.
Wilder started the initiative #RunWILDERForACure, where he will donate $1 per yard and $100 per touchdown that every running back in the CFL accumulates during October to breast cancer research.
The running backs involved in the initiative are Tiger-Cat Tyrell Sutton, Roughrider William Powell, Eskimo C.J. Gable, REDBLACK Mossis Madu, Alouette William Stanback, Lions Brandon Rutley/John White and Stampeder Don Jackson. The only exception is Winnipeg’s Andrew Harris, who has his own initiative as part of his community based program.
In the first week of the initiative, the CFL running backs have raised $633 combined.
