Playoff Scenarios: The West stays murky

Arthur Ward/CFL.ca

TORONTO — The East Division playoff picture has been painted.

The Montreal Alouettes will host the Eastern Semi-Final on November 10 while the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will host the Eastern Final on November 17. All that awaits is who will be crossing over from the West to take on the Alouettes in the first round.

As for the aforementioned West Division, things couldn’t be murkier.

There are currently three teams sitting at the top of the division, as the Calgary Stampeders, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers all have 10 wins. The Edmonton Eskimos are just behind with eight.

There are no playoff scenarios this week since all four playoff-bound West teams have a shot at hosting a post-season game – a win will simply better their chances as we continue to pave the Road to the Grey Cup.
