MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes will be without a pair of key pass-catches for the Eastern Semi-Final on Sunday.

The team has placed DeVier Posey and Chris Matthews on the one-game injured list. As a result, Dante Absher will get the start.

Posey has been one of the Als’ most consistent threats in the passing game this season. The 29-year-old previously spent time on the six-game injured list earlier this season, but in 12 games this season, he’s caught 50 passes for 780 yards and three touchdowns.

Matthews, 30, was acquired by the Alouettes mid-season from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He’s hauled in 21 catches for 319 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games split between the two teams this season.

Absher, 25, is in his first CFL season. He’s appeared in two games for the Als this season, putting up 84 yards and a touchdown while catching 8 of 9 passes thrown his way.

The Alouettes and Eskimos will meet in the Eastern Semi-Final on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. ET.
