Ticats coach leaves behind name tag at McMahon, retrieves it at Grey Cup
CALGARY — Back in September, when the Hamilton Tiger-Cats were visiting the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium, Ticats offensive line coach Dennis McKnight left something behind in the visitors locker room.
McKnight hid a name tag in the ceiling and said that he would come back at Grey Cup and get it, very confident his squad would be in the championship game come November.
So on Saturday, at Hamilton’s walkthrough one day before the 107th Grey Cup presented by Shaw, the coach retrieved the name tag, just like he said he would.
