MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes could be ready to check one of the largest items off their off-season to-do list this week. According to Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette, the Als and head coach Khari Jones are nearing completion of a three-year contract extensions.
I’m told @Khari17Jones’ new contract is done. Three years. Could be announced as early as Tuesday by #AlsMTL

Jones led the Alouettes to a 10-8 record and to their first playoff berth since 2014 after taking on the interim head coach tag in June. Jones was appointed to the Als sideline boss after the club dismissed Mike Sherman as camp broke and just prior to the regular season start.
More to come …
