MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes have offered Ryan Rigmaiden their vacant general manager position, according to TSN’s Farhan Lalji.

Rigmaiden has spent the past two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, serving as their director of college scouting. Before that, he was with the BC Lions for six years — he was their director of U.S. scouting for the final four seasons.

Before making his way to the CFL, Rigmaiden was the director of player personnel for the Arena Football League’s Spokane Shock. He joined that organization in 2007 and was promoted to general manager in 2010.

Lalji also reported on Tuesday that Alouettes president and CEO Patrick Boivin informed Danny McManus that he was no longer in the running for the vacant GM position, leaving Rigmaiden as the lone candidate remaining.
