REDBLACKS re-sign DL Davon Coleman

OTTAWA — The Ottawa REDBLACKS have re-signed veteran American defensive lineman Davon Coleman to a contract extension for the 2022 season.

Coleman, 31, is coming off his fifth CFL season and first with the REDBLACKS. The six-foot-one, 282-pound native of Cleveland, OH finished last year with 32 defensive tackles and four sacks. The Arizona State product began his CFL career with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2017 and spent two years in BC and one in Toronto before joining Ottawa.

In 63 career CFL games, Coleman has 158 defensive tackles, 20 sacks and three interceptions and was named a CFL All-Star in 2018. He has also recorded three tackles in four NFL games and spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and New York Giants.
