Introducing the CFL Fantasy Podcast

TORONTO – The 2018 CFL season kicks off Thursday night, and so too does another year of TSN CFL Fantasy.

New to this year’s content offering is the league’s first all-Fantasy podcast, ‘The CFL Fantasy Podcast’ hosted by Pat Steinberg, Jeff Krever and Hannah Nordman. Each week the trio will chat about everything you need to know from must-start, bargain buys and the latest injuries to help you set up your lineup every week of the season.

You can listen to the first episode for Week 1 here:

Episode 1:

Is it buyer beware with the Riders in Week 1? Plus, how does Matt Nichols’ absence impact the Bombers?  Pat Steinberg, Jeff Krever and Hannah Nordman get you ready for Week 1 in CFL TSN Fantasy with news, bargain buys, locks of the week and more!

The TSN CFL Fantasy game returns for another season after launching last year. Each team will consist of six active offensive players (one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and a flex player) as well as a defence selected from one of the CFL’s nine teams, all while staying under a salary cap. TSN CFL Fantasy managers compete for the grand prize, of $10,000.

Steinberg is the voice of reason after every week of the CFL season as the Monday Morning Quarterback. In addition to being a national contributor with the league’s official website, he also co-hosts The Big Show on Calgary’s Fan 960 every week day.

Krever, the CFL’s managing editor of digital media and statistics, is entering his seventh season with the league after joining as an intern in 2012. Born in Brampton, Ont., he graduated with a journalism degree from Carleton University and has covered six Grey Cups.

Prairie born and bred, Nordman graduated with a sports broadcasting diploma from the College of Sports Media in Toronto. She’s also a former host and production assistant at the FNTSY Sports Network. A lifelong CFL fan, Hannah is no stranger to the Winnipeg beer snake or attending games in freezing weather.

Alongside the new CFL Fantasy Podcast, each week CFL.ca will share a fantasy recap, status reports, a look at the previous week’s fantasy winners, projections, advice on who to start or sit, predictions from Jamie Nye, and suggestions on locks, picks, and lineups. Also on CFL.ca, RotoExperts has a season fantasy guide, with insight on all nine teams, positional overviews and tips and strategies.
