TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts have released defensive tackle Armond Armstead, the team announced Friday afternoon.
Armstead, 22, leaves Toronto following just one season wearing Double Blue.
Throughout the 2012 season, the USC product appeared in 18 games for the Argonauts, registering 43 tackles, two special teams tackles and a team-best six sacks.
A native of Sacramento, CA, Armstead was also named an East Division and CFL All-Star in what was his rookie campaign.
