TORONTO — Can anyone stop the Ottawa REDBLACKS?
That’s the question heading into Week 3, because so far not even injuries can slow down last year’s East Division champs.
Trevor Harris and Chris Williams have been unstoppable in helping Ottawa overcome injuries to Henry Burris, William Powell and, recently, Travon Van, leading to back-to-back road wins over the Edmonton Eskimos and Montreal Alouettes..
While Ottawa has impressed, Bo Levi Mitchell and the Stampeders are no slumps themselves. Mitchell put on a passing clinic in a Week 2 win over Winnipeg, throwing for 309 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 36-22 victory.
The Stampeders have lost just eight games since the start of 2014, but the REDBLACKS are ‘what’s in’ in the CFL lately after winning 12 games and reaching the Grey Cup in just their second season.

Now in the comfort of their own home, Harris and the league’s leading offence at 531 yards per game will look to continue their early-season momentum in a potential Grey Cup preview at TD Place.
So far they have the confidence of the fans with 59 per cent of the vote, while the writers are leaning slightly in Calgary’s direction to spoil the REDBLACKS’ perfect start.

The REDBLACKS look like a slight favourite so far but it’s looking like a toss-up; in the end all you can do is sit back and enjoy as two of the league’s best square off.
