TORONTO — Last week may have been a Western Final preview; some are talking like this week will feature a Grey Cup preview.
The final matchup of Week 10 features the league’s top-ranked team in the standings up against one of the fastest-rising teams, as Zach Collaros and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats visit Bo Levi Mitchell and the Calgary Stampeders.
In a game wired for sound, expect plenty of fireworks between two of the CFL’s top young quarterbacks in a rematch of the 102nd Grey Cup Championship.
Collaros returned true to form in his second start of the season, throwing five touchdown passes in a 53-7 route of the Saskatchwan Roughriders in Week 9. After a 3-4 start, the Ticats are starting to look like the favourite to win the East.
The Stampeders, meanwhile, flexed their muscles in Week 9 in earning a one-sided 37-9 win on the road against the BC Lions. That wasn’t just any game; it was hailed as the ‘game of the year’ thus far and a heated battle for first place in the CFL West Division.

The fans are leaning heavily on the Stampeders, who haven’t lost since Week 1 when they fell to the BC Lions. It’s hardly surprising they’re the favourite as they’ve yet to lose at home and are always dominant at McMahon Stadium.
The Ticats, however, aren’t just any opponent, and with Collaros back in the fold are likely better than their 4-4 record might indicate.
