HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have traded up into the first round, landing the sixth overall pick in a trade with the Edmonton Eskimos.
The Ticats also get a fifth-round pick (37th overall) in the deal, while the Eskimos get a second-round pick (10th overall) and third-round pick (20th overall) in exchange.
The deal was announced Wednesday, the evening before the 2018 CFL Draft.

With Wednesday’s trade, the Ticats now have four picks in the first two rounds, including the second- and sixth-overall selections. They also have a pair of second-round picks.
