Shamawd Chambers got some very bad news this past week.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ receiver will miss the entire 2018 season, thanks to a torn ACL suffered in practice. June Jones confirmed the news on Sunday.

It’s devastating news for Chambers, the outstanding Canadian of the 2015 Grey Cup, who was traded from Edmonton to Hamilton last season. The 29-year-old was hoping for a career year in a fresh start with the Ticats. He enjoyed a pair of 80-plus-yard reception games as a Ticat down the stretch of 2017.
What we (OK, maybe I) will miss the most from Chambers is his touchdown celebration. At a time when it looks like teams are consulting choreographers for their end zone routines, Chambers had the simplest — and funniest — celebration in the league (watch for the very end of this clip).

Heal up, Shamawd. Bring the handshake back for 2019.
