VANCOUVER — The BC Lions announced on Friday that international running back Brandon Rutley has been placed on the six-game injured list with an ACL tear in his right knee.
Rutley, acquired by the Lions this past off-season, sustained the injury in the club’s loss to Ottawa on July 20. The 30-year-old started the Week 6 contest in place of regular tailback Jeremiah Johnson, who was sidelined with an ankle injury.
The five-foot-11, 192-pound running back collected 91 yards on 71 carries and a touchdown in his Lions debut.
