#TotalPickEm Recap: Week 5
Not to brag, but this #TotalPickEm column went 4-0 on the weekend.
We’re also now 16-3 on the season in 2019.
Here’s how things shook down.
Two teams trending in very different directions met on Thursday Night Football in BC, with things playing out according to script as the Esks (3-1) hammered BC (1-4).

Trevor Harris and the rest of the squad in Edmonton look like the top challengers for undefeated Winnipeg; they took the lead late in the first quarter and never looked back.
The Esks face an interesting trip to face a surging Montreal (2-2) squad in Week 6, while BC — now 0-4 against the West this season — faces what will feel like a must-win in Regina.
Winnipeg quite literally led wire-to-wire, as Lucky Whitehead‘s electric opening-kickoff TD put the Bombers (4-0) in front on Play No. 1 against the Argos (0-4).
Mike O’Shea’s team is the toast of the CFL through one-plus month of football, while Corey Chamblin’s Toronto squad must figure things out quickly — especially with Montreal looking reinvigorated in the East.
The Argos now face a gauntlet of @ CGY, @ EDM, v. WPG (combined record: 9-3).

The Alouettes opened a lot of eyes across the country with their confident road win in the nation’s capital this week.
Additions like Quan Bray and DeVier Posey have given Montreal’s offence another dimension, while the red-hot Adams Jr. looks just about ready to be anointed QB-1.
This ain’t your grandpa’s (2017-18) Alouettes!
Some special teams magic helped the Ticats (4-1) claw back and earn a victory in a game which saw them initially fall behind the Stamps (2-2) by two scores.
Hamilton is now a game and a half clear atop the East entering its bye, and with Ottawa and Montreal slated to face the West’s two best teams in Week 6 it could be a two-game lead by the time the Ticats return to play.
While Calgary doesn’t appear to be the same dominant unit of the recent past, there’s no hint of panic under the GM/HC duo of John Hufnagel and Dave Dickenson — yet.
