WINNIPEG (CFL.ca wire) — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced on Monday that they have released quarterback Mike Quinn and receiver Scotty Anderson.
Quinn started the last two games for the Blue Bombers, both losses at home. The Stephen F. Austin product threw an untimely interception late in last Friday’s 18-15 loss to Toronto which ultimately cost Winnipeg the victory. The Blue Bombers had been in field goal range.
Quinn was 33 of 62 passing for 355 yards and three touchdowns. He was intercepted five times.
Anderson caught just two passes for 20 yards this season.
