Esks re-sign Rector, release Hill

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos have have signed import wide receiver Jamaica Rector and released import wide receiver Efrem Hill, the club announced today.

Rector returns to the Green and Gold after being released at the end of the 2010 Training Camp.  Originally signing in October of 2008, Rector appeared in the two pre-season games of 2010 registering four catches for 66 yards.  In 2009, the Texas native accumulated 48 catches for 532 yards and one touchdown.
 
Hill started in the first two games of the 2010 season recording nine receptions for 64 yards.  The Atlanta, Georgia native joined the Eskimos in 2009 where he spent the majority of the season on the reserve list.  In three games (three starts) he hauled in 12 catches for 167 yards and a touchdown.

The Samford product started the Western Semi Final where he had three catches for 24 yards.
